2013 - Weeks 10 - 15 Photo 'n Prayer Review

WEEK 10

Found at chrysalis & protected until butterfly - Tabitha admires this Honduran beauty.

As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.

Galatians 6:14-16 (NLT)

Marillyn instructs Keyla, Lesly and Dunia how to prep the oranges for making marmalade

Soccer Season Family Awards Dinner:
Oscar shares with the parents of the soccer boys our heart to not only see the boys win on the field,
but to become Godly, faithful young men.

Spaghetti Dinner:
Lesly, Tania, Lucinda and Marillyn serve the soccer families.
PRAY for the outreach & discipleship ministry of Filipenses F.C.
Many of these boys have no godly role models in their lives.

Jose Manuel and Nexser receive cleats and Bible books for their winning of the most faithful player award.
This award is received by the most consistent attendance to practice (twice a week) and games.

Soccer team assistants, Ilsy and Oscar (with daughter Genesis),
receive team jerseys as a token of appreciation.

WEEK 11

Ilsy organizes the Ranch's rummage sale
and instructs the trade school girls how to run the floor.
PRAY that God would continue to inspire us to reach people's physical needs,
so that we might gain a means to address their spiritual needs.

The Rancho Oasis Rummage Sale always draws a crowd.
We bless the community with inexpensive second hand goods and
are in turn blessed with some more extra ministry funds.

Fun with Paletas (popsicles)
The Family enjoys a wild range of flavors on our way to the Honduran Missionary retreat.

Tobi and strawberry; Lu and Lemon/Mint

Naomi and dulce de leche; Tabitha and strawberry

Mare and orange/ginger; Jon and lemon/basil

PRAY for the RO4Y Team: Unity, Perseverance and Love

Our kids are great at overstimulating their little sister!

Poema's pure joy is found in her laughter!

Group photo from the 2013 Honduran Fellowship of Missionaries and Ministries Retreat.
Can you find the Beard family?
God has provided a wonderful group of missionaries for us to meet with and minister along side. We gather yearly to encourage one another,
rejuvenate and cast vision for God's heart for Honduras.
PRAY for this nation and it's missionaries!

WEEK 13 - Semana Santa (Holy Week)

Naomi and Tabitha model their HFMM retreat t-shirts
PRAY for these girls to know Jesus and have a passion for the lost.

Semana Santa Friendly Games:
During the break from school we played a few scrimmages
with our hometown rivals and an orphanage.

WEEK 14

Running errands with Dad - exchanging the propane tank.

Reading through the book of Acts with the teens.
PRAY for these teens to develop a passion for God's word
as we pursue reading the New Testament in a year!

Lucinda has been a wonderful addition to the ministry of Rancho Oasis -
Just ask the kids!
PRAY for Lu to persevere with her Spanish and continue to grow in her
walk with Jesus! The first year in the field is typically the hardest.

Wednesday morning Bible study through 1 Timothy with Oscar:
The inductive Bible study method is revolutionizing Oscar's understanding of the Word!
PRAY for Oscar to develop into the Godly leader that God desires for him to become; he has been an amazing part of Rancho Oasis and a spiritual son.

Couldn't quite get Lissye's, Ilsy's daughter, and her toothless grin!

Pineapple Marmalade with the trade school girls - Que Rico!

WEEK 15

Boy's Bible study is working their way through a
new believer's curriculum called New Life in Christ.
PRAY for these boys to move beyond a head knowledge
and into a genuine relationship with their Maker.

The three newest additions to the Ranch - our mouseketeers!

Marillyn grooms Zoeva with two girls from a Tegus Children's Home (Orphanage)
PRAY that God would continue to build relationships between Rancho Oasis
and ministries from the city. We desire to foster this area of the ministry
as we move to a larger property in the coming months!

Clean country air, friends and a little bit of fun is good medicine for these city orphans.
A cheerful heart is good medicine,

but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

Proverbs 17:22 (NLT)

The cash is given as a loan and is specifically saved into your own financial records, after which the loan reserves, in addition to a charge, are removed from your record toward the finish of the credit which more often than not is your next payday.
