Rancho Oasis for Youth is the Beard family dream to create a refuge for young people that intertwines the love, freedom and truth of Jesus Christ with Jon’s passion for youth and Marillyn’s passion for animals, plants and healthy living. Through the ongoing and non-conventional “classroom” activities of Rancho Oasis, relationships are fostered with the youth
and the hope and remedy of the Gospel of Christ is shared.

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength… You shall teach [these words] diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. Rancho Oasis joins with local youth and their families to teach them the proper care and use of animals, sustainable gardening techniques and other skills that will improve life, break the cycle of poverty and direct them to God, giving Him the glory. RO4Y also offers young people positive
experiences in other various activities, such as arts & crafts, music and sports, all while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and modeling Christ-like behavior. As the ministry grows and other missionaries come to partner with us, we will expand our “curriculum” to include their God-given abilities and passions. In all these activities, Christian discipleship is cultivated and these young people are able to overcome personal hurts, as well as the consequences of their own sin, by learning how to apply Biblical truths in their daily lives through the power of God’s Holy Spirit.
